Technician replacing a residential HVAC filter

Technician replacing a residential HVAC filter

Cleaner air.
Healthier HVAC.
On schedule, every time.

We replace your filters and do a full HVAC unit cleanup — filter, coils, drain lines, blower — so your system runs healthier and your air stays cleaner. Commercial buildings always get a free on-site inspection.

  • Same-day scheduling for most service areas
  • Email + text confirmation the moment you book
  • No call required — schedule in under 2 minutes

Takes 2 minutes · No upfront payment

Two things we do — extraordinarily well.

We're not a generalist HVAC contractor. We're focused on the recurring, preventive work that keeps your system running healthy — so you only need a contractor for the rare big problem.

Filter delivery + replacement

Most popular

The right filter shows up at your door on schedule, and we install it ourselves. No more squinting at the side of an old filter trying to remember the size.

Why it matters

Clean filters = healthier system

A clogged filter restricts airflow, forcing your blower motor to work overtime. That kills efficiency, accelerates wear, and pushes dust through the cracks into your living space. Replacing on schedule extends the unit's lifespan and cuts your energy bill noticeably.

How we do it

Right size, installed for you

First visit we measure your unit and confirm the exact dimensions + rating. From then on, the correct filter arrives at your door on schedule and we install it during the visit. Old filter removed and disposed. You don't lift a finger.

Fresh pleated filters, dated and sized for each customer's system

What we use

Pleated filters, MERV 8 to 13

Standard 1" pleated filters at MERV 8 are included in the base plan. Households with allergies, pets, or smokers can upgrade to MERV 11 or 13 for finer particulate capture — we'll recommend the right tier based on your unit and air quality goals. Every filter we install gets the date written on the frame, so the next install is one glance away.

Cadence

Every 1–3 months

Frequency depends on your filter tier, household occupancy, and pet/allergen load. Standard cadence is every 3 months for typical homes; high-allergy households go monthly. We set it once during the inspection and track it for you.

HVAC Unit Cleanup

Summer sale — $99

The whole-system deep-clean — filter, coils, drain lines, blower. Most cleanups take 90–120 minutes because we don't skip a step. Every component inspected, every component restored.

A clogged filter pulled from a neglected return — six months of dust and pollen

Why it matters

Four problems, one visit

Skipping the deep-clean costs more than people realize. A neglected coil costs 15–30% more to cool. A clogged drain line floods your ceiling in July. A dirty blower throws dust through every room of the house. A spent filter makes all three worse. We catch all four at once — for less than a single emergency repair call.

How we do it

Methodical, step-by-step, no shortcuts

Power down at the disconnect. Pull and measure the filter. Vacuum the evaporator coil, then non-acidic foam, then rinse. Fin-comb every bent vane on the condenser. Pull the blower wheel, wipe each blade, spin-test the bearings. Clear both drain lines with a vacuum, flush with warm water, drop in a biocide tab. Power back on, verify refrigerant pressures and the temperature split, leave you the photos. That's the whole job — and we don't move on from a step until it's right.

Verifying electrical at the disconnect with a clamp meter — we measure, we don't guess

Verifying electrical at the disconnect with a clamp meter — we measure, we don't guess

What we use

Only what we'd use on our own homes

Plant-safe alkaline foam (not the acid stuff that pits aluminum and shortens coil life). Soft-bristle fin combs sized for your unit's fin spacing — bent fins get straightened individually, not crushed flat with a butter knife. HEPA-rated vacuums on the blower wheel so the dust we lift doesn't end up back in your air. Biodegradable biocide tabs for the drain pan. Everything we touch is the same tier we'd use on our own families' systems.

Cadence

Once a year, ideally in late spring

Best scheduled after the spring pollen peak but before the first heat wave — late April through early June for MetroWest and Greater Boston. A unit that gets this cleanup annually runs cleaner, fails less, and lasts 3–5 years longer than one that doesn't. Schedule it once and we'll remind you next year. Coastal or heavily-wooded properties may want a mid-summer touch-up; we'll flag it during your filter visits if we see fins clogging early.

A fraction of the price — without cutting any corners.

Homeowners spend hundreds of dollars a year on reactive HVAC service — the kind that only happens after something starts feeling wrong. Big shops are happy to keep it that way; their pricing is built around it.

Here's the part nobody tells you: every invoice from a large HVAC company is paying for a fleet of vans, a warehouse of inventory, specialty crews for jobs they barely run, a billing department, and a marketing budget. You're not paying for your service — you're paying for their overhead.

We're a small operation. Same training, same tools, same standard of work — but none of the overhead built into a big shop's rate. That's how we charge a fraction of what they do and still pay attention to every step.

  • No service-call, trip, or disposal fees — ever
  • One up-front quote — what we say is what you pay
  • Same crew every visit — they get to know your system
  • Locally owned, Boston-area — every job matters
  • Cancel or reschedule anytime, no contracts

What our customers say

Showed up exactly when they said, replaced the filter, vacuumed the area, and left. Took maybe 15 minutes. I forgot how nice it was to not have to think about this.

My AC was running constantly and the bills were creeping up. They did a full unit cleanup, found a refrigerant leak nobody else had caught, fixed it the next day. House is cool again, bill dropped 18%.

Manage 24 units. Filters Faster handles quarterly visits on a flat per-unit rate. Tenants stopped calling about HVAC issues entirely. Reliable, professional, fairly priced.

Had them in for the seasonal tune-up. Tech walked me through everything he was checking, sent a photo report by the end of the day. Found a worn capacitor and replaced it before it failed. Worth every penny.

Our family has bad allergies and the upgraded MERV-13 filters made a real difference. They explained which filter rating fit our system without trying to upsell. Genuinely helpful crew.

About us

Why we started Filters Faster.

We're two friends based in Hudson, MA who got tired of seeing people overpay for basic HVAC maintenance — and get stuck with preventable breakdowns when small jobs got skipped. So we built the service we wished our families had.

Co-founder + lead technician

I grew up watching my parents pay through the nose every time their HVAC needed something. Most of the time it was something tiny — a filter that should've been swapped six months ago, a coil that hadn't been cleaned in years. The bill was never tiny though.

I started Filters Faster because the basics shouldn't be expensive, and they shouldn't be hard to remember. We take the small recurring stuff off your hands so the big breakdowns stop sneaking up on you.

Healthy HVAC is mostly small habits, done on time. We're the calendar reminder that actually shows up.

Co-founder + operations

I came to HVAC from a totally different angle — I spent years running operations for a logistics company and watched what bad scheduling does to a service business. Customers get bumped, techs get burnt out, and trust evaporates fast.

When [Your Name] pitched me on Filters Faster, what got me wasn't the air quality angle (though that matters). It was the chance to build a service business that actually keeps its word about when it'll show up. That's rarer than you'd think in this industry.

We promise an arrival window, we show up in it. That's the whole pitch on the operations side.

Our goal

Make preventive HVAC the boring background utility it should be.

We want every home and small business across MetroWest and Greater Boston to have a system that runs efficiently, fails predictably (when it finally does), and never costs more than it should. No mystery service calls, no upsells, no “while we're here” surprise charges. Just the basics, done well, on a schedule you can forget about.
